What is the speed of the wave?Ī Fisherman in a row boat notices that one wave crest passes his fishing line ever 5 seconds. Which of these wavesĪ wave traveling along the x axis is described mathematically by the equation y = 0.17sin(8.5πt + 0.45πx), where y is the displacement (in meters), t is in seconds, and x is in meters. What happens when a mechanical wave travels through a medium? What is transferred - mass, particles, energy, or waves? 3. What is the resulting direction of a surface wave? Is it perpendicular, parallel, opposite, or circular? 2. the amplitude of the wave c.both 3.The time interval for one repetition of the cycle inġ. a)half b)twice c) one-fourth d)fourġ.How many vibrations per second are represented in a radio wave of 101.7 MHz 2.The speed of a wave on a string depends on: a.the material properties of the string b. Wave A has an amplitude that is twice that of wave B and transmits energy at a rate that is _ that of wave B. Two identical but separate strings, with the same tension, carry sinusoidal waves with the same frequency. Should there be anything else?Ī wave interference where the wave amplitudes combine to yield a lesser amplitude than either of the waves is known as a A) standing wave B) constructive interference C) destructive interference D) transverse wave the velocity of the wave I said C,D, and E. What factors affect the frequency of a wave? A. If both waves are positive, what is the largest amplitude that will result? A) -10m B) 24 m C) 10 m D) 2 m if the crest of wave A combines with the trough of wave B,what will be the amplitude of the resulting wave? will the waves form a crest or a trough when theyĪ wave of amplitude 4.0 meters interferes with a second wave of amplitude 6.0 meters. the trough of wave B has an amplitude of 2 cm. The crest of wave A has an amplitude of 5 cm. For the two traveling waves that make up this standing wave, find the wavelength. For the two traveling waves that make up this standing wave, find the amplitude. The wave function of a standing wave is y(x,t)=4.44mmsinsin. What are the largest and smallest displeacements that can occur? What type of interference is demonstrated by each displacement? 30 m interferes with a second wave of amplitude. if both waves are positive, what is the largest amplitude that will result? a) -10m b) 24 m c) 10 m d) 2 mĪ wave of amplitude.
#MERCURY WAVES 9.6 UPDATE#
Other than the above examples, you can update your WUP whenever you want, or fell that you need to.A wave of amplitude 4.0 meters interferes with a second wave of amplitude 6.0 meters. WUP is also required if you intend to resell, or if have bundles and want to get your hands on the new plugins they throw into these bundles.
#MERCURY WAVES 9.6 LICENSE#
WUP is also useful for tech support and license rescuing, but you are allowed one of those each a year without the WUP. In this instance you only need to worry about WUP if they roll out a version 10 someday. You're license is valid for all of version 9. Waves Central actually shows that my licenses for TG12345 and J37 are v.9.2.0, but the version it installs are v.9.6.0. Is it so that you cannot have different versions of Waves running at the same time, in my case 9.2.7 and 9.6.0?
#MERCURY WAVES 9.6 INSTALL#
Waves Central can install them, but only v.9.6, and it also wants to update my whole Bundle to v.9.6 (for which I don't have a license). I recently purchased TG12345 and J37 from Cyber Monday sales. I have Waves Mercury plus Studio Classics v.9.2.7. It's sad, but it's the reality of the world we live in.

It doesn't matter if it's Waves or other manufacturers, it doesn't matter whether it's PC or Mac, it doesn't matter whether we are talking computers, cars, phones or even televisions.Įverything at least one point or falls into an obsolete stage. It's just unfortunate that with any form of technology in life, the older it gets, the more obsolete it becomes. On the whole, the community will be much better off for it. Because the legacy versions conflict with the new installers. For the most part it affected those who had conflicting versions of Waves installed, or those running legacy setups. It's just unfortunate that it came with a few bugs. In creating Central they almost eliminated the possiblity that these issues can happen.
#MERCURY WAVES 9.6 SOFTWARE#
The way it was, it was too easy for people to install conflicting versions of Waves software which, from a guess would lead to about 80-90% of issues. Central is just really a reskinned WLC with added features.įeatures that were added because the majority was asking for it.
